We celebrated Morgan's 1st birthday on the 4th and Daddy's birthday on the 5th. We enjoyed having Grandma Pam & Grandpa Bill here to join us in the festivities. And then we enjoyed a great week having Grandma Pam stay with us and lend a hand while Daddy finished up the quarter at school and we made the rounds with multiple doctor's appointments.

We celebrated Morgan's first birthday with a trip to the zoo, presents, spaghetti dinner, and a special Elmo cake. We can't believe our baby boy is a year old!

We had a wonderful celebration for Jacoby's 3rd birthday with a couple of his friends. The festivities included a tour of the fire station, lunch, birthday treats, and presents!

The boys haven't seemed to mind the long winter we've been enduring. They look forward to getting outside in the snow whenever they get a chance! It's been an eventful month: Jacoby is potty trained (at home...still working on school), Morgan is walking more and more each day, and Jacoby turns three!

2010 is off to a busy start! The boys are doing great in school. Jacoby is in full potty-training mode and has just about mastered the art of being a big kid. Morgan is trying out first steps on his own and is finally getting tooth #2!

We had a wonderful Christmas with our families in Montana. The boys were excellent travelers and we had stops in Billings with the Barbers and Lachmunds and in Great Falls with the Haggertys.

We celebrated a little bit of Christmas this weekend as a family before we head back to Montana for the holidays. -- We're busy getting ready for the holidays. Jacoby loves all of the Christmas lights that have sprung up. He recently underwent allergy testing, and we're getting used to living with several food allergies. Morgan is a super-fast crawler, loves to stand, and has zero fear. He weighed 22.5 pounds and is 30.25 inches long (85th and 98th percentiles) at his 9-month check-up.

We're very excited to be celebrating Thanksgiving with Grandma & Grandpa Barber and Uncle Jared this week. Morgan is crawling! He's also getting his first tooth. We're also looking forward to Justin finishing up the fall quarter. -- All of our snow melted away and we're enjoying short fall days again. We had a great visit with Grandpa Michael and Granmanette this week--both boys really enjoyed their company.

The boys had some fun on Halloween with a jack o' latern and an "orange" harvest dinner. -- We're happy to report that we're all well again. We've been enjoying snow from a big storm that came this week. -- As we wait for the flu germs to leave our house (3 out of 4 of us have been down with the bug), we've been busy inside doing art, sorting through our toy box and puzzles, collecting leaves, reading books, and building forts. -- Well, the H1N1 flu bug is visiting our house. But we're all doing well and managing. Jacoby is quite a trooper and remains a happy camper despite being sick. -- We're enjoying fall here in beautiful Colorado. We took the boys to the pumpkin patch and enjoyed some time on the farm. Jacoby has become really interested in music lately, particularly drumming. Morgan is growing fast, perfecting his grasping abilities, and trying out new foods. The boys make each other laugh each day and seem to really enjoy each other's company.

We almost forgot to post Morgan's 6-month stats: 29 inches long and 20 lbs, 7 ou (100% all around). He's sitting up on his own, and Jacoby is delighted that he can "play" with Morgan now. -- Wow, fall is just around the corner! Both boys are attend a wonderful school in Boulder two days a week. Jacoby likes his preschool class and is getting to know his teachers. Morgan is doing well in the infant room and is quite a hit with his caregivers and other staff.
